FIT & SIZE GUIDE
The Garn Sweater is an oversized sweater with a knitted “print”. It is knit from the top down and the letters are knit in as you go. Both body length and sleeve length are easy ta adapt to your own preferred length. Garn is yarn in Swedish. This pattern includes charts for both GARN and YARN “prints”.
The Garn Sweater has a recommended positive ease of 30-40 cm (10-30 cm in size 8-10). The sweater in the pictures is worn with a positive ease of 40 cm. Measure yourself and choose a sice based on you preferred ease.
The sizes 1-10 represent a chest circumference of (75-80), 80-85, (85-90), 90-95, (95-100), 100-110, (110- 120), 120-130, (130-140), 140-150 cm.
YARN
(600) 650 (650) 700 (700) 750 (800) 850 (900) 950 g (ca 135m/100g) (Aran/Worsted weight wool yarn)
You will also need some mohair scraps or other yarn to sew around the edges of the print.
GAUGE & NEEDLES
16 sts x 20 rows = 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch (the bigger needle).
18 rows = 10 cm in double stockinette stitch (the smaller needle).
5 mm circular needles 80-150 cm
4 mm circular needle is used for the double knitting and the rib.
Always pick your main needle based on the gauge.
